About the Role
This is a 2nd Shift position (Monday-Thursday): 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM. Based at our Niagara Falls, NY facility, this role involves driving tractor/tip trailers, operating heavy equipment, and transporting/emptying intermodal containers. The driver must have significant experience in operating tractor trailer units, emptying containers, performing daily equipment inspections, and maintaining equipment in a clean and safe condition. The role also requires performing other assigned job tasks.
Responsibilities
- Drive tractor/tip trailers to and from the rail yard/tipping floor.
- Operate heavy equipment including Reach stacker, Track mobile, Frontend loader, and forklift.
- Operate off-road tractor trailer units transporting and emptying intermodal containers.
- Complete daily equipment inspections.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and safe condition.
- Perform other job tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Significant experience in driving on and/or off road tractor trailer units.
- Experience emptying containers.
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, outages, and alternating shifts.
- Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance.
- Responsible, well-organized, and exhibit great safety & environmental awareness.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role while upholding Reworld's Values.
