About the Role

The Business Assessment (BA) Senior Manager owns discrete commercial assessments and forecasts end-to-end, partnering across R&D, Global Commercial Strategy, and commercial organizations to evaluate opportunities. This role is crucial for informing investment decisions and structuring external deal terms, with a focus on Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) and Specialty Care, but also covering opportunities across multiple therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure analysis is rigorous, transparent, and based on common and well-supported modeling techniques and assumptions.
  • Take and defend an independent position, recommending against an opportunity when analysis does not support it, even with incomplete information.
  • Gather input from key internal expert stakeholders on clinical development, commercial evaluation, and market access.
  • Integrate in-line and BD/pipeline forecasts, connecting assessments to in-line assumptions, cannibalization logic, and Long-Range Forecast (LRF) revenue projections.
  • Utilize AI tooling for evidence synthesis, competitive landscaping, model QC, code-assisted analysis, and drafting executive materials.
  • Scope and commission primary market research with physicians, key opinion leaders, and patients, managing vendor resources.
  • Develop analytically supported recommendations to facilitate investment trade-off decisions.
  • Determine the appropriate level of rigor and external insights/research required based on timeline and decision.
  • Work flexibly on multiple therapeutic areas in a matrixed team.
  • Support additional category and Pfizer portfolio-level projects, such as category strategy and knowledge management.
  • Support enterprise-level initiatives and evaluations using internal forecasts, analyst reports, and other secondary data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of experience; OR Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR PhD with 1+ years of experience.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including building, auditing, and documenting multi-tab forecast and valuation models.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills for executive-level materials.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience building or owning quantitative commercial forecast and valuation models.
  • Experience using epidemiology literature, analyst reports, secondary/claims data, primary research, and pricing and market access inputs for quantitative forecasting.
