About the Role
We are building a candidate pool for potential upcoming Security Officer openings. These roles may be available on all shifts (2nd, 3rd; full-time or part-time) at various fixed locations in Schenectady, NY. The position involves ensuring the safety and security of premises and residents, providing customer service, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, and responding to concerns.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular walking patrols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment.
- Complete clear and accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Interact professionally with residents, visitors, and site staff.
- Follow established security procedures and contact emergency services when necessary.
- Observe and report unusual, suspicious, or unsafe activity.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations in a professional manner.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using basic technology, including CCTV systems and reporting tools.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately during emergencies.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
- Previous security experience is a plus, but not required.
