About the Role
Career and Employment Options, Inc. is seeking Career Consultants/Job Coaches to provide instruction to students in job-readiness, career planning, job-coaching, community access training, travel training, and transition services for special education students. This role involves working with students at job sites in the community and high schools.
Responsibilities
- Develop community-based internships and provide direct job coaching.
- Analyze internship work assignments.
- Enable students/clients to perform effectively in community-based worksites using self-direction and CEO instructional formats.
- Collaborate with student/client families to ensure active participation in the employment process.
- Provide information and goal activity for CSE or ACCES/VR planning meetings.
- Assist students in their transition beyond high school, including utilization of interest inventories and skill assessments.
- Provide a positive environment and effective counseling to assist students/clients in achieving career and community goals, in person and/or remotely.
- Assist in the transition and notification of graduating seniors and their linkages to ACCES, NYSCB, OPWDD, or OMH.
- Attend professional development trainings regarding regulatory issues and process changes.
- Provide job development for placement into internships, job placement, World of Work Tours, and/or mentor programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Vocational/Job Coaching experience required.
- Professional Business Attire required.
- COVID-19 vaccination required.

- $21.00-$36.00 per hour
