About the Role
This is a temporary, 8-week assignment for an experienced Nurse Practitioner in Bushwick, Brooklyn, NY. The role requires an autonomous NP confident in managing an outpatient primary care schedule with minimal onboarding. This is not an entry-level position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive new-patient evaluations.
- Perform established-patient follow-ups.
- Manage chronic diseases and provide preventive care.
- Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and plan care for patients.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted NYS NP and RN licenses.
- National board certification as an FNP or Adult/Adult-Gerontology NP.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience as an NP, with a preference for Primary Care.
- Must be comfortable and confident practicing independently, making clinical decisions, and managing patients without routine onsite provider supervision.
- Must meet New York State independent NP practice requirements.
- Must carry active professional malpractice insurance, with proof of coverage required before starting.
- Active Medicare and NY Medicaid enrollment.
- Strong adult primary care experience treating both male and female patients.
- Proficiency in EHR documentation, clinical assessments, prescribing, diagnostic testing, and referrals.
