About the Role

The Care Company is a home health care provider dedicated to helping seniors live well in their own homes. We are seeking compassionate Tagalog-speaking Personal Support Workers for ongoing weekend support in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.
• Offer companionship and light housekeeping to help seniors remain at home.
• Prepare meals according to client and family requests, accommodating various cuisines.
• Adhere to the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker in providing personal care and assistance with ADLs.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including hygiene, bathing, grooming, and linen changes.
• Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises.
• Ensure client safety and proper use of equipment.
• Practice safely and competently within the job description and limits of experience.
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers.
• Must be able to commit to a consistent, ongoing weekly schedule.
• Must have a negative TB Test completed within the last year.
• Must have a valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion.
• Must have a valid Criminal Record Check completed within the last year.
• An asset if you own a vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
• COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s Human Rights Code.
