About the Role
CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. We are seeking a Clinical Research Nurse to provide professional care and evaluation to research study participants and make necessary nursing judgments based on clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates clinical performance at an expert level utilizing perceptual skills which are intuitive or experience based.
- Critiques own decision making and judgements regarding the care of patients.
- Provides nursing consultation for atypical patient presentations, unexpected events or unusual outcomes, recurring problems on the patient care unit, or strategic planning for the future of the unit.
- Evaluates the results of consultation in terms of patient outcomes and ability of the consultee to handle similar problems in the future.
- Coordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel to provide safe, effective, efficient, equitable, and timely patient-centered care.
- Works in a collaborative relationship with other healthcare professionals to determine needs of patients and families.
- Demonstrates an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to patient care.
- Participates in activities that contribute to the ongoing development of self and others.
- Responsible for maintaining annual mandatory education requirements, which include emergency skill and unit-based competencies.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and confidence in making informed, timely decisions.
- Ability to work autonomously, exercise discretion, and take initiative with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate situations, identify solutions, and resolve challenges effectively.
- Maintains a high degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency in all aspects of work.
- Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- May be required to lift 20-50 pounds.
