About the Role

Hudson Valley Community College is seeking experienced, dynamic, capable, creative, and caring individuals to join their Faculty team. This role involves teaching assignments that may include weekends, evenings, and online, contributing to the college's mission of educational opportunity and economic development.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction throughout the Engineering Science program, creating engaging and relevant classroom and laboratory content.
Evaluate student performance through the use of in-class and take-home assignments, as well as written examinations and hands-on evaluations.
Engage with industry partners to build pathways for student recruitment, retention and employment.
Participation in departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as set forth in the Faculty Contract.
Ability to teach a class at Malta campus.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Two years of previous teaching experience.
Must currently hold unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States.
Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Skills

Demonstrated teacher effectiveness across multiple modalities in higher education is strongly preferred.
Experience using D2L Brightspace is preferred.
