About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Test Lead to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex Guidewire programmes across the insurance lifecycle. This role combines end to end testing leadership with broader delivery oversight, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure high quality, predictable outcomes. You will be responsible for defining and executing the testing strategy while also contributing to overall programme delivery, governance, and risk management across Guidewire implementations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end testing across Guidewire implementations, covering test strategy, planning, execution, governance, environments, defect management and distributed testing teams.
- Provide delivery oversight across complex Guidewire programmes, managing risks, dependencies and milestones while supporting mobilisation, release readiness and post-deployment stabilisation.
- Build effective relationships with business stakeholders, clients, Guidewire and third-party vendors, aligning testing and delivery priorities with business outcomes and providing clear, transparent communication.
- Drive continuous improvement across testing processes, tooling, automation and ways of working, embedding a quality-focused culture while coaching and developing testing and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Ability to lead end-to-end testing and quality assurance across complex Guidewire implementations, from strategy and planning through execution, defect management and release.
- Practical knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, ideally including Guidewire Cloud/SaaS environments and associated test frameworks.
- Skilled in managing functional, integration and regression testing, with knowledge of test automation and non-functional areas such as performance, resilience and security.
- Ability to manage delivery risk, governance and quality across agile, hybrid or waterfall programmes, including mobilisation, go-live and service readiness.
- Capability to lead and coordinate onshore, offshore and third-party teams, creating effective collaboration across complex insurance transformation programmes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, resolve challenges and maintain focus on quality and business outcomes.
