About the Role
The Waldorf Astoria New York is seeking a Temporary Server, Peacock Alley to unveil a new era of luxury which embodies the spirit of New York City. Responsibilities
- Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to all guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make their meal experience special
- Learn the details of all menu items, promotions, and specials so you can help guests and answer their questions with confidence
- Take food and beverage orders, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and deliver completed orders promptly
- Make sure the food service station is always fully stocked, clean, and organized
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member well-being
Requirements
- Must be an exceptional server with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences and refinement
- At least 3-5 years of Server experience in an upscale dining environment is required
- Experience in a luxurious cocktail environment is strongly preferred
- Strong beverage knowledge is strongly preferred
- Experience in a Forbes 5 star setting is strongly preferred
- Requires complete open availability as part of the Local 6 Union
- Must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week
