About the Role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide support and guidance to individuals as they learn and develop essential daily living skills and life activities, enabling them to live as independently as possible. This role is ideal for individuals who are natural helpers, excellent listeners, dedicated teachers, proud advocates, and proactive go-getters.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of daily living skills and life activities by creating a supportive learning environment.
- Help individuals identify and achieve their personal goals to live their best lives.
- Monitor the comfort and safety of individuals, ensuring their medical, nutritional, and personal care needs are met.
- Provide emotional support while assisting with general housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry duties.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Valid U.S. driver's license required, where applicable.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform frequent physical activity including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending.
- Ability to perform occasional sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting, and balancing.
- Ability to perform constant reaching between knee and shoulder level.
- Ability to perform frequent reaching below knee level and overhead.
- Ability to perform occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform frequent push/pull up to 40 pounds of force.
- Ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.

- $1,000 Sign-on Bonus (paid over 6 months: $250 after 30 days, $250 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months)
