About the Role

You will work at the intersection of deal teams and portfolio companies, learning all facets of private equity from due diligence through value creation to exit. Together with management, you will develop new business areas, create partnership models, and implement growth levers, not just on paper but within the company.

Responsibilities

You are responsible for value creation projects in our portfolio companies from analysis to implementation, e.g., new business areas and partnership models, pricing & packaging, go-to-market, sales and process automation, or AI use cases.
With the support of experienced colleagues, you will manage a group of portfolio companies and act as a sparring partner for management.
You will prepare board meetings, portfolio reviews, and quarterly reporting, deriving concrete measures from them.
You will work closely with the investment team, from due diligence and add-on acquisitions to exit preparation.
You will develop best practices and playbooks that can be applied to other portfolio companies.
You will provide technical guidance to analysts and interns.
You will be on-site at our portfolio companies regularly (approx. 1-2 days per week).

Requirements

4-5 years of professional experience, ideally 2-3 years in a leading strategy or management consultancy (or in-house consulting) and 1-2 years in operational responsibility at a medium-sized company or start-up.
Hands-on mentality: You implement measures yourself instead of just recommending them.
Team player: You enjoy working closely with management, colleagues, and portfolio teams.
Strong analytical skills and confident handling of Excel models and PowerPoint; experience with data, BI, or AI tools is a plus.
Very well-completed studies, e.g., in business administration, industrial engineering, or computer science.
Interest in software and internet companies; experience in the B2B SaaS environment is a plus.
Fluent German and English.
