About the Role
Oneida Health Hospital is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to provide day shift coverage in our ICU unit. This position is responsible for coordinating patient care and performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. You will supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff and report to the ICU Manager.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating patient care
- Performing nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills
- Supervising LPNs and related support nursing staff
- Identifying patient needs and caring for them
- Working as a team player
- Supervising other nursing personnel
- Keeping neat records
- Preparing reports in a timely manner
- Maintaining a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients in accordance with quality standards
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Having a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families
- Using superb organizational skills when it comes to supplies and equipment
- Remaining calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations
Requirements
- Associate of Nursing (Required)
- New York RN (Required)
- BLS (Preferred)
- ICU: 1 year (Preferred)
