About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join Dennis Eagle in Tower Hamlets, working on our specialist refuse collection vehicles. From diagnostics and fault finding to servicing and repairs, you’ll work across a varied range of tasks helping to keep essential vehicles operating safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and specialist vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspection and carrying out quality checks
- Carrying out body and chassis repairs where necessary
- Reading wiring diagrams and working with diagnostic information
- Completing accurate maintenance and repair records
- Working safely and providing a high standard of service
Requirements
- Experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing
- A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Proven diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- An understanding of electronics and hydraulics
- The ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
