About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join Dennis Eagle in Croydon, maintaining and repairing our specialist refuse collection vehicles. You’ll be joining a skilled team and working across servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs in a practical, varied role.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and specialist vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and completing quality checks
- Carrying out necessary body and chassis repairs
- Reading wiring diagrams and using diagnostic information
- Maintaining accurate records of work
- Working safely and providing a high standard of customer service
Requirements
- Experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles
- A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of electronics and hydraulics
- The ability to understand wiring diagrams
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
