About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join Dennis Eagle at our Bexley operation, working on specialist refuse collection vehicles. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs, helping to keep essential commercial vehicles operating safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Servicing, repairing and maintaining HGVs and specialist vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and completing quality checks
- Carrying out body and chassis repairs where required
- Using wiring diagrams and diagnostic information to identify faults
- Completing records accurately
- Working safely while delivering a high standard of customer service
Requirements
- Commercial vehicle servicing and repair experience
- A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Diagnostic and fault-finding experience
- An understanding of electronics and hydraulics
- The ability to understand wiring diagrams
- A practical approach to problem solving
Skills
- Experience with refuse collection vehicles
- Experience with electric vehicles
- HGV Class 2 licence
- IRTEC training
- Volvo Tech Tool training
- Allison transmission training

- £41,277.60 - £48,929.40 pa DOE
