This role convenes business unit leadership and supplier executives to foster innovation, joint savings, co-investment, and access to the supplier's network and expertise. - Lead the annual portfolio review and present recommendations for group executive approval.
- Build and maintain a forward value agenda for each portfolio supplier.
- Convene business unit leadership and supplier executives around the value agenda.
- Present a unified group view of each supplier, sharing value found in one business unit across all.
- Understand each supplier’s strategy, investment roadmap, capabilities, and client base.
- Identify and shape opportunities for innovation, joint savings, co-investment, and capability utilization.
- Build business cases for opportunities, including net value, costs, dependencies, and risks.
- Evaluate supplier proposals for net group value and maintain the group's commercial position.
- Hand qualified opportunities to procurement teams for negotiation and contract.
- Align with relevant category leads before supplier executive conversations with commercial implications.
- Share supplier intelligence and executive insight with category teams to strengthen negotiation strategies.
- Operate the agreed joint attribution model with category heads for value crediting.
- Maintain an informed view of supplier delivery through business commercial teams.
- Redirect delivery, performance, and contract issues to the accountable vendor management team.
- Track and report value delivered, including savings, cost avoidance, co-investment, and innovation.
- Agree baselines and value methodology with Finance for reporting.
- Report progress against supplier value agendas to leadership and stakeholders.
- Use group spend data, dashboards, and AI tools to build an enterprise view of suppliers.
- Question data accuracy and collaborate with procurement colleagues to maintain data integrity.
