About the Role
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Practice Manager to provide direction to physician practices, encompassing finance, human resources, strategic planning, information technology, risk management, and clinical oversight related to nursing care. This leadership role manages diverse staff and requires building strong relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers.
Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day operations of assigned practices, continuously reviewing and evaluating operational procedures for efficiency and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring, orientation, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.
- Strategic planning and marketing management, promoting practices and physicians effectively to the public and referral sources, and identifying new revenue streams.
- Oversee clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards, including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical record keeping.
- Provide direct supervision to nurses and subordinate staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health.
- Serve as a key problem-solving resource for staff by studying patient needs/trends and suggesting solutions to ongoing care issues.
- Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional healthcare experience.
- 2 years of supervisory-level experience, preferably in a Medical Practice setting.
- Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety hazards and standards.
- Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
