About the Role
As a Product Owner, you will shape the development of two legacy products into an innovative B2B solution for secure file exchange and password-based email communication. The solution includes an administration interface for business clients and a user interface for their communication partners. Our goal is to delight existing customers and enter new markets. We use containers and microservices, developing a solution that can be offered as SaaS and on-premises.
Responsibilities
- Develop solution concepts for new and existing functions, considering customer needs, technical possibilities, and company goals.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX designer to create user-friendly solutions and create small mockups if necessary.
- Translate agreed-upon solution concepts into Epics, Tasks, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Manage the development team's Product Backlog, prioritizing requirements and ensuring tasks are well-prepared and understandable.
- Plan and coordinate software releases, monitoring deadlines, dependencies, and risks.
- Act as the central point of contact for the development team, clarifying functional questions and coordinating with Product Management, Support, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify product improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role within a B2B software company with agile software development.
- Experience in independently conceptualizing software functions, formulating clear requirements for development teams, and maintaining a Product Backlog.
- Good technical understanding of software architectures, interfaces, and modern web applications.
- Good knowledge of UI/UX principles and experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or comparable tools.
- Analytical thinking, structured and independent work style, and good communication skills.
- Strong interest in technology, IT security, and economic contexts.
- Very good English skills (minimum C1) and good German skills (minimum B2).
