About the Role

Batesville Casket Company is seeking a dedicated Class AZ Delivery Driver to join their team in Brampton, ON. This role is crucial for ensuring timely delivery of products to funeral homes, supporting the company's mission of helping families honor their loved ones. The driver will be responsible for a bi-weekly Northern Ontario run and local deliveries during alternate weeks.

Responsibilities

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport products to designated locations.
Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Load and unload products from the vehicle with care.
Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle for safety and maintenance purposes.
Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, fostering positive relationships with clients.
Loading responsibilities: Driver is responsible for loading their own truck and will also be expected to load both northern and local delivery trucks.

Requirements

Valid Class AZ license with a good driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles.
Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
Bi-weekly Northern Ontario run: Tractor-trailer delivery route covering Sault Ste. Marie → Thunder Bay → Timmins → North Bay → CSC, returning to CSC on Day 4.
Overnight stays: Driver must be comfortable sleeping in the tractor during the northern run.
Local deliveries: During the alternate week, the driver will complete local deliveries using a 16 ft. or 26 ft. box truck.
Winter driving experience: Experience driving in harsh Northern Ontario winter conditions is strongly preferred.
Communication skills: Must be able to speak and understand English and build positive relationships with customers throughout Northern Ontario.
