About the Role

As a Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you will build foundational pieces for all DoorDash Mobile applications, including runtime libraries, build systems, and development tools. You will collaborate closely with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers across the organization to deliver impactful initiatives and serve as a culture carrier for Mobile engineers through mentorship and education.

Build foundational pieces for all DoorDash Mobile applications, including runtime libraries, build systems, and development tools.
Work closely with engineers, technical product managers, and engineering managers across the engineering organization to deliver large and impactful initiatives.
Serve as a culture carrier for Mobile engineers through mentorship, education, and engagement of peers.
Architect and implement foundational libraries, cutting-edge build systems, and innovative development tools.
Tackle significant technical hurdles in mobile engineering.
Empower product teams to build, test, and release new features faster and more reliably.
Guide and influence the mobile engineering community, sharing expertise, promoting best practices, and fostering technical excellence and collaboration.
Partner with a diverse group of engineers, product managers, and leaders to drive critical initiatives forward.

Requirements

5+ years of Android development experience.
Product mindset applied to building platform services.
Competent working with people, systems, and software.
Curious and able to dive deep into different system architectures.
Organized and excellent written and verbal communicator.
