About the Role

As a Full-Stack & AI Engineer in the Data & Cloud team, you will develop applications and AI solutions end-to-end on AWS, from frontend to production operation, and work hands-on in our projects. You will develop web applications end-to-end: frontend, APIs, backend logic, deployment, and operation on AWS. You will maintain existing web applications and extend them with new features. You will design initial architectures and evaluate technical options. You will identify AI use cases together with the business departments, assess their benefits, and design suitable solution concepts. You will develop the AI use cases and integrate them into our applications, from prototype to production deployment. You will automate build and deployment processes with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions). You will be responsible for requirements from the business department to stable operation, working closely with business teams and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Identify AI use cases together with business departments, assess benefits, and design solution concepts.
Develop AI use cases and integrate them into applications, from prototype to production.
Automate build and deployment processes with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Take responsibility for requirements from business departments to stable operation, collaborating closely with business teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

Several years of experience in full-stack development of production applications.
Solid knowledge in a modern frontend framework (e.g., Vue or React) and a backend language (e.g., Java or Python).
Understanding of software and system architecture, data flows, API design, testing, and maintainability.
Proficiently use AI-assisted development with the technical understanding to review and take responsibility for generated code.
Secure knowledge in CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
Practical experience with AI/LLM applications, RAG, prompt engineering, agents, or evaluation.
Good basic understanding of AWS cloud, ideally with experience in services like Amplify, ECS/Fargate, RDS, DynamoDB, Cognito, Bedrock, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
Clear communication skills, enjoy teamwork, and interact with others empathetically and on an equal footing.
Actively share knowledge, constructively give and receive feedback, and work collaboratively rather than in silos.
Take responsibility for your tasks and demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn.
German language skills at least at B2 level.
