About the Role
We are seeking a Product Development Scientist to join our DevOps team, focusing on shaping biological components and workflows into reliable products. This hands-on lab role involves defining formulation, packaging, storage, and specifications, supported by rigorous testing and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report on stability and shelf-life studies, defining storage and shipping conditions.
- Contribute to product definition, including formulation, component format, kit configuration, specifications, and performance metrics.
- Conduct repeated, controlled performance testing on the platform using electrophysiology, including lot-to-lot, robustness, and comparability studies.
- Analyze and trend large experimental datasets using Python or similar, applying statistical methods to inform product decisions.
- Troubleshoot and enhance product performance, robustness, and reproducibility.
- Identify launch requirements for each product, including specifications, test methods, stability data, and documentation, and integrate them within the eQMS.
- Write protocols, reports, and SOPs, and support method transfer to the Biologics production team.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Biologics, platform, engineering, data science, and R&D.
Requirements
- BSc, MSc, or equivalent industry experience in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, proteomics, bioengineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, or testing biological or enzymatic products, assays, or workflows.
- Experience conducting structured, repeated studies (e.g., stability, robustness, lot comparisons) with meticulous execution and record-keeping.
- Experience analyzing large datasets using Python, R, or similar, with a strong understanding of statistics.
- Understanding of biological product launch requirements or a strong interest in acquiring this knowledge.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
