About the Role
The successful candidate will be a Senior Materials Engineer focused on nondestructive testing and evaluation technologies for Wind Turbine products.
Responsibilities
- Maintain material and special process specifications for nondestructive test methods and procedures.
- Work with suppliers to interpret specifications/standards and optimize production methods/techniques.
- Evaluate the use of automatic and AI systems for NDT.
- Review supplier and service provider NDT procedures and techniques to ensure compliance with codes, standards and specifications.
- Support service and RCA projects with NDT process development for field inspection and validation, interfacing with services teams and 3rd parties.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and standard work.
- Identify technology development opportunities for growth and investment.
Requirements
- Significant experience in NDT methods including UT, Eddy Current, MPI, phased array.
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced techniques.
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college or at least 20 years of experience in these methods (for roles in USA).
- Ability and willingness to travel 30% or more as needed, domestic and global.
