About the Role
Gallagher is seeking a Placement Broker to join their London Broking team. This role focuses on placing Property and Casualty business for the UK branch network, building market relationships with underwriters and carriers.
Responsibilities
- Establish strong relationships with the market and a broad range of suppliers (insurers, underwriters, client servicing teams, etc).
- Grow existing portfolio.
- Attend pipeline meetings with Insurers and present risk presentations.
- Deal with accounts queries.
- Attend client meetings and internal strategy meetings where required.
- Work closely with the wider Broking and Placement team.
- Assist in identifying relevant markets and support strategy.
- Assist with policy amendments and broking.
- Assist in renewal negotiations.
- Analyze programme structure to check for suitability and advise on restructures where necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Placement Broker is desirable.
- Property and Casualty insurance knowledge will be advantageous.
- Happy to consider a new business focused Account handler/Broker/Underwriter with Property and Casualty experience.
- Worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLA’s.
- Risk aware in handling customer information. Able to recognise potential risk and seek advice when required.
- Highly accurate with a strong attention to detail.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
