About the Role
We are looking for a resourceful self-starter with a quantitative academic background, professional experience in equity markets, derivatives, or index maintenance, and a curiosity for trends in investing. Responsibilities
- Manage a broad portfolio of indexing business, ensuring quality, risk management, operational stability, and timely delivery across all rebalancing cycles.
- Serve as a senior trusted partner to institutional clients, strengthening relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and creating long-term value.
- Provide support and guidance for complex rebalances, market events, and high-impact client situations, exercising sound judgment under pressure.
- Own the execution of systematic, rules-based index selections for both Solactive and client indices.
- Drive the ongoing evolution and enhancement of investment models and selection methodologies.
- Support the strategic direction of the team by translating business priorities, market developments, and client needs into a clear roadmap for index management, infrastructure, and service delivery.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to colleagues, raising technical, commercial, and execution standards across the team.
- Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, collaboration, resilience, learning agility, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in investment management, asset management, portfolio management, trading, index management, or a related capital-markets environment.
- Degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio construction, market dynamics, and systematic investment strategies; direct investment or asset management experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of managing a significant book of business, balancing strategic priorities, risk, client outcomes, and operational execution.
- Experience building senior relationships with institutional investors and identifying commercial growth opportunities.
- Strategic thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into disciplined execution.
- Demonstrated judgment, integrity, accountability, resilience, and confidence in making decisions under pressure.
- Collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to build trust across functions and adapt to change.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
