About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Lending Product Manager with genuine lending expertise to shape and strengthen our lending proposition. This role offers the opportunity to influence the development, pricing, management, and growth of our lending products by collaborating across Product, Credit, Risk, and Operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Shape and develop the lending proposition, identifying opportunities for product improvement and sustainable growth.
- Own pricing and margin, balancing competitiveness, customer outcomes, risk, and commercial return.
- Manage lending products throughout their lifecycle, from proposition development and business case creation to implementation, performance, and optimization.
- Utilize portfolio, customer, competitor, and market insights to identify opportunities and formulate commercial recommendations.
- Develop strong business cases for new products and product modifications.
- Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations, and senior stakeholders to create commercially viable lending solutions.
- Monitor product performance against key KPIs and address emerging opportunities or issues.
- Stay informed about developments in the SME and commercial lending market to bring fresh thinking and external insights into the business.
Requirements
- Strong SME lending experience.
- Strong secured real estate lending experience.
- Demonstrable experience of pricing and margin ownership.
- Strong commercial judgment and a solid understanding of lending economics.
- Experience using data and insight to inform product and pricing decisions.
- Ability to work effectively across Product, Credit, Risk, and Operations.
- Confidence in influencing, challenging, and working with senior stakeholders.
- Club and/or syndicated lending experience (preferred).
- Cash-flow lending experience (preferred).
