About the Role
Your mission is to find and build what Bounce becomes next, with a current frontier in delivery. You will define the delivery strategy, validate it with users, and scale successful initiatives. This is a 0 to 1 role requiring deep engagement with users, hosts, and city teams, focusing on research, strategy, product development, launch, and iteration.
Responsibilities
- Shape the delivery product end to end, including discovery, acquisition, flows, pricing, and retention.
- Conduct user research by regularly engaging with travelers, hosts, and operators to understand user behavior.
- Translate signals into clear hypotheses, MVPs, and experiments.
- Launch pilots in real cities, measure key metrics, and iterate based on evidence.
- Define success metrics for all initiatives and ensure the team meets them.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, data, operations, growth, and partnerships teams.
- Travel to cities, locations, and users to gain in-person insights.
Requirements
- Shipped 0 to 1 products, taking them from conception to users and then scaling or sunsetting them based on evidence.
- AI-native, utilizing LLMs for analysis and AI in a professional capacity.
- Strong operator skills, with a willingness to engage directly with data, user flows, user calls, and operational realities.
- Deep understanding of user behavior, able to articulate reasons behind user actions.
- Proficiency in reading and analyzing funnels, forming hypotheses, and identifying next steps.
- Concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated depth in problem-solving, understanding issues from user, data, and operational perspectives.
- Collaborative approach, working with partners rather than directing them.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, capable of creating and adapting plans based on new information.
- Fluent in experimentation methodologies, including A/B tests, pilots, and qualitative research.
- Possess commercial instincts, with a focus on unit economics, acquisition costs, retention, and lifetime value.
