About the Role

This is a senior leadership role leading Sweaty Betty’s global brand marketing function, setting the strategy and delivering the integrated brand agenda across campaigns, social, PR, influencer, partnerships and retail marketing. It combines strong creative judgment with commercial accountability, operational discipline and the ability to build a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Translate the global brand positioning into an annual and seasonal brand marketing strategy, with clear audience priorities, cultural opportunities, product stories, market plans and measurable objectives.
  • Lead the development of full-funnel, 360° brand campaigns from insight and brief through creative development, production, activation and evaluation.
  • Build a consistent, recognisable brand presence across owned, earned and paid touchpoints.
  • Identify credible cultural moments, collaborations, talent and content formats that extend the brand beyond conventional campaign cycles.
  • Set the organic social strategy and editorial ambition across priority platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Strava, ensuring strong channel-native storytelling and community engagement.
  • Lead earned media, reputation-building, talent and influencer strategy, and brand partnerships, working closely with specialist teams and external agencies to maximise impact and consistency.
  • Oversee global retail marketing, connecting brand campaigns, launches, events and local activations to the consumer experience and commercial calendar.
  • Partner with Product, Merchandising and Creative to build fame for Sweaty Betty’s hero products, combining technical performance, style and compelling consumer benefits.
  • Work with Creative, Studio, Growth, eCommerce, CRM, Wholesale and regional teams to create joined-up plans, strong execution and appropriate local adaptation.
  • Act as a senior brand decision-maker and strategic partner to the VP Marketing.
  • Partner with brand operations manager and fellow marketing channel leads to manage budgets, agency and partner investment, prioritisation and performance reporting.
  • Establish clear measures of brand health, consideration, engagement, campaign effectiveness and contribution to demand.
  • Lead, coach and develop the brand marketing organisation; establish clear accountability, approvals, planning processes and critical paths that enable high-quality work at pace.

Requirements

  • Significant senior brand marketing experience in premium consumer, fashion, lifestyle, sport, fitness or activewear, including leading integrated global campaigns.
  • Proven experience managing brand leads and specialist teams, agencies, budgets and complex cross-functional programmes.
  • Outstanding creative judgement, cultural fluency and the confidence to challenge generic work and champion bold ideas.
  • Commercially astute, able to connect brand investment with consumer behaviour, demand and business outcomes.
  • A strategic thinker who is equally capable of making decisions, simplifying complexity and delivering at pace.
  • An influential communicator and collaborative leader who raises standards, develops talent and creates accountability.
  • Genuine interest in women, movement, style and the cultural role of brands.
