About the Role
As an AI Research Scientist, you will conduct pre-training research for the Energy Foundation Model, a single model trained on diverse energy-related data to uncover complex relationships. This role involves designing the model architecture, running experiments, and developing rigorous evaluations to shape energy forecasting, hedging, and trading strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-training research for the Energy Foundation Model.
- Design the architecture, inputs, and training objectives for a unified model across generation, grid, demand, weather, and price data.
- Run pre-training experiments to identify improvements.
- Build rigorous evaluations and honest backtests with calibrated uncertainty.
- Train on household-level data while ensuring privacy.
- Document findings as research and collaborate with quants and engineers for production deployment.
