About the Role

The IT RETAIL BUSINESS SYSTEMS MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER will possess both technical and functional understanding of business processes, playing a key role in the implementation and maintenance of retail and logistics systems. This role involves identifying, analyzing, refining, translating, and documenting business requirements to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Retail Business and Logistics teams to understand current workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
Map existing processes and design optimized workflows leveraging SAP supply chain modules.
Advise on best practices for utilizing system functionalities to streamline retail and logistics operations.
Ensure smooth operation of retail systems through troubleshooting, managing upgrades, and providing user training and support.
Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of retail business processes to identify areas for improvement.
Oversee the implementation of new retail systems or updates to existing ones.
Test and evaluate new functions before deployment.
Identify, analyze, and document discrepancies between retail systems and business requirements, ensuring appropriate adjustments.
Act as a point of contact for retail and logistics teams, providing guidance and support on technical inquiries.
Develop and deliver end-user documentation and training for effective system usage.
Collaborate with data teams to create Power BI / B.O reports and dashboards within SAP or related tools.
Manage the defect resolution process efficiently and manage expectations for re-testing efforts.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full cycle retail systems implementation (e.g., POS, stock take system, B.o.H management system, CRM).
Minimum of 5 years designing and configuring at least one of the following systems: POS, replenishment system, stock take system, SAP SD.
Strong understanding of sales and distribution business processes.
Understanding of accounting business processes.
Experience with SAP recommended.
Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Experience with data migration and integration.
