About the Role
This role is crucial for advancing AI and accelerating the commercialization of next-generation semiconductor chips by providing essential accounting support within a global leader in materials science and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Performs monthly and quarterly close activities for Equipment revenue, cost of sales, division expense, and related balance sheet accounts.
- Understands business deals and ensures accounting transactions comply with established procedures and policies.
- Interfaces with internal business stakeholders (Sales, Order Management, Business Unit, local and HQ Finance) to provide accounting support.
- Participates in projects such as system enhancement/integration and process changes for efficiency.
- Partners with Sales and PSE teams for headcount and expense forecasting.
- Prepares ad-hoc reporting as requested.
Requirements
- USGAAP accounting knowledge.
- Strong Excel skills for accounting analysis.
- Business-level written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Experience and knowledge in revenue recognition is a plus.
- Work experience in a multinational company is preferred.
- Experience in SAP and Blackline is preferred.
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve efficiency and quality in accounting processes, or committed to developing such capabilities.
