About the Role
The IT RETAIL BUSINESS SYSTEMS MANAGER will be a key person in the implementation and maintenance of retail/logistics systems, possessing both technical and functional understanding of business processes. This role involves identifying, analyzing, refining, translating, and documenting business requirements to drive improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Retail Business and Logistics teams to understand current workflows, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Map existing processes and design optimized workflows leveraging SAP supply chain modules.
- Advise on best practices for utilizing system functionalities to streamline retail and logistics operations.
- Ensure smooth operation of retail systems by troubleshooting issues, managing system upgrades, and providing training and support.
- Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of retail business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the implementation of new retail systems or updates to existing retail systems.
- Test and evaluate new functions before their deployment in the production environment.
- Identify, analyze, and document discrepancies between retail systems and business requirements, ensuring appropriate adjustments are made.
- Act as a point of contact for retail and logistics teams, providing guidance and support on technical inquiries.
- Develop and deliver end-user documentation and training to ensure effective system usage.
- Collaborate with data teams to create meaningful Power BI/B.O reports and dashboards within SAP or related tools.
- Manage the defect resolution process efficiently and manage expectations for related re-testing efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full cycle retail systems implementation (e.g., POS, stock take system, B.o.H management system, CRM).
- Minimum of 5 years designing and configuring at least one of the following systems: POS, replenishment system, stock take system, SAP SD.
- Strong understanding of sales and distribution business processes.
- Understanding of accounting business processes.
