About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to be the first person to own data and evidence at a charity dedicated to ending homelessness. You will design trials, define proof metrics, and produce evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of direct cash delivery, influencing national responses to homelessness.
Responsibilities
- Own randomized trials and experiments end to end.
- Build tracking and randomization into the platform.
- Design and maintain tools for collecting clean participant outcome data.
- Work with the Tech Lead on data infrastructure, including Salesforce pipelines.
- Undertake platform builds when it is the fastest approach.
- Build dashboards and reporting for leadership, the board, and funders.
Requirements
- Ships end to end: Owns experiment design from hypothesis through to recommendation.
- AI-native: Daily use of AI coding agents for prototyping and shipping, with rigorous review.
- Production ownership: Builds and maintains reliable pipelines, data models, and dashboards.
- First-principles judgment: Distinguishes strong results from noisy ones.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: Identifies and defines testing opportunities.
- Around 4 to 6 years of experience in software or data engineering and applied analysis or research.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with randomized controlled trials or other experiments.
- Solid grounding in statistics and causal inference.
- Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.

- Not-for-profit salary packaging may be available.
