About the Role
Seeking a Solicitor to join our financial services regulatory team in Sydney. You will advise local and international clients in the banking, non-bank lending, payments, and fintech sectors, providing expertise in non-contentious FSR to help clients navigate a complex regulatory environment and upcoming reforms.
Responsibilities
- Advise local and international clients in the banking, non-bank lending, payments and fintech sectors.
- Provide valued support to clients facing an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
- Support clients to adeptly navigate upcoming reforms.
- Support our multi-disciplinary matters.
- Support and develop more junior team members.
Requirements
- At least 3 years' practicing experience as a Solicitor in a FSR team within private practice, an in-house division or relevant regulatory body.
- Relevant regulatory experience covering one or more of the following areas: payments, financial crime, consumer credit, retail and wholesale banking, prudential regulation including the financial accountability regime and digital assets.
- Strong academic results.
- An unrestricted Australian or NZ practicing certificate.
- A curiosity about our domestic and international clients.
- An eagerness to build relationships to support the growth and reputation of the practice, including across our global network.
- An ability to manage competing priorities.
- An ability to work to tight timeframes.
- An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
