About the Role
This role focuses on redefining design in an AI-disrupted world, emphasizing human judgment, empathy, systems thinking, and creativity. You will collaborate with CXOs, product owners, engineers, and data scientists to co-own product vision, drive ambiguity towards valuable outcomes, and shape product direction. The focus is on strategic design impact rather than just artifact creation.
Responsibilities
- Own and shape product direction, challenge weak assumptions, and stay close to implementation.
- Craft new ways of working from a design perspective considering AI's influence.
- Challenge the ask and ideate interventions that matter, seeing them through to completion.
- Turn ambiguous client asks into well-framed problems, prioritized opportunities, and practical delivery plans.
- Propose solutions constructively, using evidence and arguments to help clients choose new scope.
- Pitch, consult, and negotiate design decisions for faster iterations and decision-making.
- Remain the custodian for the north-star throughout delivery.
- Continuously reframe design decisions as new constraints and evidence emerge.
- Own design across the entire lifecycle: discovery, concept, design, build, launch, and iteration.
- Create precise artifacts for building, including flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Design for production realities, including complex workflows, edge cases, data, and system constraints.
- Work within the engineering cadence with technologists, data specialists, and product owners, balancing user value, business impact, technical feasibility, and delivery pace.
- Measure post-launch changes and iterate using product analytics and user conversations.
- Use AI across research, synthesis, ideation, and prototyping to compress design cycles.
- Apply judgment to AI output, determining when it is sufficient.
- Identify where AI and automation genuinely improve user and business outcomes.
- Design AI-enabled experiences that handle model behavior, uncertainty, and failure states.
- Apply service design and systems thinking across complex processes, teams, and technology.
- Lead discoveries by planning and conducting research, including stakeholder and user interviews, workflow analysis, and conceptualizing directions.
- Design and facilitate workshops to align client and delivery teams and facilitate decision-making.
- Shape interaction design and information architecture for complex products.
- Work with design systems and AI tooling.
- Contribute to the product-design capability by crafting new ways of working, building case studies, and developing client-facing thought leadership.
Requirements
- Comfortable across the full design lifecycle.
- Exceptional at problem framing, shipping design, and AI-accelerated craft.
- Experience in B2B - Enterprise Platforms, SaaS products, Data products, or AI-native products.
- Ability to move comfortably across wider design practice and bring its collective strength.
- Experience with design systems and AI tooling.
