About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Manager for our new restaurant and bar in the former Marktlokal in Markthalle Neun, Kreuzberg. The goal is to create a vibrant, uncomplicated, and community-driven space for vegetarian German cuisine. You will help shape the venue from the start, build and lead a passionate team, and create a welcoming environment for guests and staff. Responsibilities

Manage daily restaurant and bar operations to ensure smooth running.
Support and develop the team through scheduling, training, and onboarding.
Foster a warm, inclusive, and safe atmosphere for guests and staff.
Oversee inventory, ordering, supplier relationships, costs, and cost of goods sold.
Collaborate with kitchen management to align food, beverages, and service.
Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety standards, and youth protection regulations.
Develop and implement ideas for promotions and events, actively shaping the venue.
Participate directly in bar and service operations.

Requirements

Experience in restaurant/bar management or a bar/shift lead role.
Ability to lead a team with friendliness, calmness, understatement, and heart.
Experience behind the bar/in service and enjoyment of guest interaction.
Passion for cocktails and good drinks.
A good sense for hospitality, atmosphere, and details.
Good organization, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Basic knowledge of calculation and inventory management.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Fluent English and sufficient German for daily work, with a desire to improve German skills.
Ability to shape the identity of a new restaurant/bar from the beginning.
Creative freedom to implement own ideas, concepts, and events.
