About the Role

Take technical responsibility for exceptional live experiences at one of Berlin's most iconic event venues. Tempodrom Berlin offers a dynamic and exciting event environment, hosting around 200 events and welcoming over 400,000 visitors annually. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the technical planning and execution of events, ensuring smooth technical and organizational processes.

Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the technical planning, coordination, execution and follow-up of events and productions, ensuring smooth technical and operational processes.
Create event-specific CAD drawings, advise event organizers on technical matters and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements and regulations.
Coordinate and instruct internal and external staff, ensuring efficient collaboration among everyone involved.
Independently manage and operate technical facilities, including event and lighting technology as well as building systems and safety equipment.
Plan and coordinate external service providers, including security, cleaning and technical contractors, while ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
Oversee repair and maintenance activities and review the corresponding invoices.
Depending on experience and qualifications, take on additional responsibilities in organizing and further developing the technical team.

Requirements

A completed qualification as a certified Master of Event Technology (Meister für Veranstaltungstechnik) or equivalent certification in accordance with Section 39 of the German Ordinance on Places of Assembly (Versammlungsstättenverordnung).
Several years of experience in the event industry, combined with a solid understanding of relevant legal regulations and safety requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office and CAD applications.
Good written and spoken English skills.
A structured, independent and solution-oriented working style.
Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
Strong negotiation skills.
Confidence and a professional, customer-oriented approach when working with event organizers, service providers and colleagues.
Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced event environment.
Collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to solving challenges.
Initial experience in leading a small team is an advantage but not a requirement.
Willingness to work flexible, event-dependent hours, including Sundays and public holidays.
