Responsibilities

  • Build and lead TransUnion’s enterprise-wide Threat Management & Investigations program, establishing scalable processes to identify, monitor, assess, respond to and mitigate threats involving executives and associates.
  • Develop global, regional and local threat intelligence using law-enforcement relationships, third-party risk providers and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to support timely risk mitigation and protection decisions.
  • Lead internal and external corporate investigations, analyze evidence and intelligence, and deliver clear, objective findings and recommendations to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Design and manage holistic executive security programs addressing physical and digital threats, including oversight of contracted armed and unarmed executive protection officers.
  • Partner with Human Resources to strengthen workplace-violence prevention and response programs covering harassment, physical threats, assaults, active-shooter incidents and other threats of violence.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Compliance to identify, investigate and respond to insider-threat incidents and related risks.
  • Manage intelligence analysts, third-party providers and security vendors, and support Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) activities and incident response.
  • Maintain security-related policies and provide on-call support during emergencies, including weekends, holidays and late nights; travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Requirements

  • Experience leading threat management, investigations or executive security for a global corporation or professional-services firm.
  • Formal behavioral threat-assessment training and experience building or managing executive security, workplace-violence prevention and insider-threat programs.
  • 15+ years of federal law-enforcement experience combined with at least five years of corporate-security experience, including proven leadership of small to medium-sized teams.
  • Established corporate and government security contacts across local and federal law enforcement and the intelligence community, with the ability to use those relationships to support threat intelligence and incident response.
  • Executive presence, business acumen and project-management capability, with a demonstrated ability to operate strategically and autonomously while influencing senior leaders and collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Previously held and eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance; able to respond quickly, make sound decisions under pressure and perform duties that may require extended sitting, standing or walking.
  • Advanced knowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools and methods for identifying, monitoring and assessing physical and digital threats.
  • Proficiency with threat-intelligence, case-management, database-management and information-management systems used to document investigations and produce actionable intelligence.
  • Experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop threat and intelligence products, support physical-security applications and improve database and office administration.
  • Strong investigation-report writing, editing and policy-development skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to executive audiences.
  • Federal law-enforcement leadership experience at the GS-15 or Senior Executive Service (SES) level.
  • Working knowledge of Ontic or a comparable case-management and threat-intelligence platform.
  • Experience translating security intelligence into strategies that align with a global organization’s footprint, risk exposure, risk appetite and business priorities.
