About the Role

The Market Intelligence Cyber Governance and Compliance team acts as a strategic link between security needs and business goals, promoting strong security while supporting commercial success. The team operates at the intersection of technology, legal, and sales, translating evolving regulations into actionable guidance for external products and services. We value analytical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and sound risk-based decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract negotiations for security and compliance terms in client agreements, serving as the primary technical advisor to Sales and Legal teams while maintaining strategic customer relationships.
  • Apply risk-based decision making to evaluate proposed security commitments, determining acceptability through analysis of compensating controls and potential roadmap investments, with clear communication of rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Partner strategically with Legal as the technical subject matter expert, ensuring organizational capability to deliver on negotiated security commitments. Provide potential contractual language.
  • Analyze and interpret complex regulatory requirements, assess scope and organizational compliance capabilities, and develop comprehensive guidance for development and technical teams to ensure adherence.
  • Identify and address systemic gaps between client security demands and organizational capabilities through cross-functional partnerships and strategic roadmap advocacy.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository of pre-approved security positions, standardized language, and control framework mappings to drive consistency and efficiency across engagements.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of total progressive experience in security governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC), security assurance, artificial intelligence or third-party risk management, with demonstrated expertise in regulatory interpretation and security contract negotiation.
  • Working knowledge of financial services and enterprise regulatory environments, including GDPR, DORA, NIS2, EU AI Act and related compliance regimes.
  • Proven track record of making independent, defensible risk decisions in high-pressure deal environments with measurable business impact.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing scalable processes, playbooks, and frameworks for security assurance functions in enterprise environments.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of infrastructure and application controls, modern cloud security controls, including cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift), identity and access management, encryption protocols, and security monitoring solutions.
  • Expert-level proficiency in major compliance frameworks including COBIT, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, and ISO 42001, with proven ability to map contractual requirements to specific security controls.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage with legal counsel, negotiate complex terms, and present technical concepts to executive leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
