About the Role
A busy professional family in Brooklyn is seeking an experienced, reliable live-in nanny to care for their school-age daughter. The role involves managing morning routines, school commutes, after-school activities, and meal preparation. The family values dependability, self-sufficiency, and open communication.
Responsibilities
- Wake up early with the daughter, get her ready, dressed, and fed breakfast
- Take her to school on the Upper East Side and return home
- Take her to after school activities on the Upper East Side
- Prepare large batch meals for the children and the family
- Take initiative and manage the daughter's needs
- Communicate openly with the parents about her routines and day
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience
- Experience working in dual income households with busy or traveling parents
- A strong work ethic, with a record of reliability, accountability, and punctuality
- Self-sufficient and comfortable working independently without day to day guidance
- Ability to start in early December
- Live-in flexibility
- Willingness to travel with the family on one to two trips per year
- Strong work references
