About the Role

Join the Quantitative Bioanalytics (QBA) team within the Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry (ABMS) Group at Regeneron. This role involves developing, qualifying, and applying LC-MS-based bioanalytical assays and other analytical methods in a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry laboratory to support R&D programs. You will contribute to innovative mass spectrometry technologies for bioanalysis and biologics characterization across Regeneron’s therapeutic pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Perform LC-MS-based assay development, qualification, and validation for biotherapeutics and biomarkers in biological matrices.
  • Provide bioanalytical support for research, preclinical, clinical, and biodistribution studies by quantifying therapeutics or biomarkers in biological study samples.
  • Apply state-of-the-art LC-MS platforms coupled with manual or automated sample preparation to investigate various biotherapeutics and novel modalities.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize methods, ensuring data quality and scientific integrity.
  • Maintain accurate records, including electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), and analyze/interpret results.
  • Communicate findings effectively at team and cross-functional meetings, and in technical reports, regulatory documents, conferences, and publications.
  • Develop and troubleshoot analytical methods, solve scientific and technical problems, and explore new technologies.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, good record keeping, and organizational skills.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across teams, coordinating samples, activities, priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and think/act independently on well-defined projects.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be results-driven, adaptable, and scientifically curious in an innovative, fast-paced R&D environment.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • 6+ years (MS) or 8+ years (BS) of industrial or academic experience with LC-MS based bioanalytical assays for biomarkers, protein therapeutics, antibodies, AAVs, or other therapeutic modalities.
  • Hands-on experience with LC-MS and advanced mass spectrometry platforms (triple quadrupole, Q-TOF, and Orbitrap).
  • Strong understanding of mass spectrometry techniques and their applications to large-molecule analysis.
  • Experience with GxP laboratory environment, documentation, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of analytical method qualification and validation is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of ELISA and other ligand-binding assays is a plus.
