About the Role
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the seafood department, ensuring budgeting, financial aspects, merchandising, and inventory levels are optimized for sales. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service and accurate order processing.
Responsibilities
- Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all customers.
- Responsible for the proper handling and merchandising of all seafood products according to company policy.
- Displays and expresses complete knowledge of all seafood products to the customer.
- Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
- Responsible for ordering all seafood product merchandise and supplies.
- Ensures inventory control of both fresh and frozen products.
- Responsible for the presentation and outlays of all displays for the entire department.
- Responsible for seafood department record keeping and adherence to predetermined budgets.
- Ensures a high level of customer courtesy and service within the seafood department.
- Ensures all associates adhere to company and state sanitation procedures and regulations.
- Responsible for the proper training and scheduling of new associates within the seafood department.
- Communicates all rules and regulations of the company to all Seafood associates.
- Responsible for the operation of all special programs within the Seafood department.
- Maintains all factors of the computer-generated ordering system.
- Ensures ice display is set to correct standards daily.
- Controls shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
- Satisfactory performance reviews.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
