About the Role

This position is responsible for directing, leading, and motivating an account management team for the ERS account. The role works across various functional areas and is accountable for the team meeting or exceeding retention and profitability goals, servicing of accounts, and assisting in the development of short and long-term strategies.

Responsibilities

Directing, leading, and motivating an account management team for the ERS account.
Working across the organization with various functional areas including actuary, medical management, customer service, etc.
Ensuring the team meets or exceeds retention and profitability goals.
Overseeing the servicing of accounts.
Assisting in the development of short and long-term strategies.
Overseeing annual budgets and allocating resources for various projects and operational needs.
Translating business needs and initiatives into compelling business cases.
Conducting cost-benefit analyses to justify investments and ensure ROI.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 8 years of sales/account management experience in the health insurance industry, OR 12 years of sales/account management experience in the health insurance industry.
At least 3 years of account management experience for large or national health insurance groups.
Current general agent health and life insurance license.
Ability and willingness to travel.

Skills

Knowledge of sales and account management techniques.
Knowledge of managed care products, rating, funding, and processing procedures.
Leadership skills.
Negotiation and presentation skills.
Verbal and written communication skills to manage teams and build relationships internally and with clients.

Work Type

Flex employees are expected to be in the office a minimum of three days a week.

Bachelor's degree

Salary/Compensations

$131,000.00 - $196,500.00
