About the Role
As a "NextGen" scientific employee, you will be an integral part of our Berlin transaction team from day one, contributing to the structuring and execution of financing rounds, gaining practical experience in stock and conversion law, and advising on all corporate law aspects from seed to exit. You will engage with complex legal and economic issues, participate in scientific publications and presentations, and gain insights into the German and European startup and investor landscape.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the structuring and execution of financing rounds.
- Gain practical knowledge of stock and conversion law.
- Support advising on all corporate law aspects of a company from seed phase to exit.
- Engage with complex legal and economic issues.
- Collaborate on scientific publications and presentations.
- Provide comprehensive legal and economic advice to notable clients.
Requirements
- Studying law or a comparable degree program, or holding a degree from Germany or abroad.
- Seeking part-time employment alongside a doctorate.
- Appreciates teamwork and independently organizes and analyzes issues.
- Has an affinity for venture capital, corporate law, and transactions.
- Willingness to engage in in-depth professional discussions.
- Proactive in exploring new things, including technology like Legal Tech, AI, or digital research tools.
- Possesses affinity or prior experience with technology in a legal context.
- Ready to take on responsibility.
- Has prior exposure to venture capital, startups, and investors, or is eager to immerse in this field.
- Practically experienced in English.
- Enjoys embedding economic issues in legal contexts and finding creative solutions in an international environment.
