About the Role
Savvy Wealth is seeking a Senior Data Architect to own the company's data foundation. This role is critical for shaping how the company measures performance and makes decisions by establishing a centralized, well-modeled data system. You will set the technical direction for financial and operational data, translate business priorities into durable data architecture, and help scale the data team.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture for modeling, storing, and governing Savvy's financial and operational data, building toward one coherent, centralized system.
- Evaluate, select, and drive company-wide adoption of a self-service analytics/BI tool for reporting and analysis.
- Define and own business metric definitions to establish agreed-upon calculations and a single source of truth.
- Build infrastructure to automate recurring internal reporting.
- Design data reconciliation and quality checks across key systems to maintain data integrity.
- Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, compliance, and engineering to translate reporting needs into durable data architecture.
- Help set the technical direction and roadmap for Savvy's data function, with ownership over team and system development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics engineering, or data engineering, with direct ownership of system design and data modeling decisions.
- Experience consolidating a fragmented, multi-source data environment into one centralized, governed system.
- Hands-on experience evaluating, selecting, and driving company-wide adoption of a self-service BI/analytics platform.
- Strong SQL fluency and depth in data modeling practices, with comfort operating across modern cloud data warehouses.
- A track record of operating as a highly autonomous, strategic owner: setting direction, pushing back on stakeholders, and prioritizing across competing demands.
- Experience working with financial or otherwise regulated data, ideally including reconciliation or compliance-adjacent reporting.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, comfortable working directly with finance, compliance, and executive stakeholders.
