About the Role
As an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card or License and a California Weapons Permit with 9mm caliber endorsement. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points and verify credentials for authorized entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Possess a California Weapons Permit with a 9mm Caliber Endorsement.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
