About the Role
C.H. Thompson is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Industrial Wet Painter to apply wet paint coatings to metal parts and components, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets customer and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial painting, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Precise and proficient application of wet paint products, adhering to customer and QMS specifications.
- Ensure proper paint thickness and uniform coverage through visual and instrument inspection.
- Adherence to standard work, training guides, and procedures to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Routine maintenance and cleaning of spray guns, paint booths and related equipment.
- Reporting of any inconsistencies or defects in material, product, or equipment.
- Fostering a positive work environment by collaborating effectively with co-workers, and management.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience as an industrial wet painter required.
- Familiarity with paint mixing, spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and reaching.
- Demonstrates a strong quality mindset, with attention to detail and commitment to meeting standards.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
