About the Role
At 54th Street, we prepare our food from scratch each day using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Our busy kitchens are staffed with multiple cooks each shift, creating a team environment where support is always close by. We are looking for reliable cooks who take pride in their work, value teamwork, and can perform consistently in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications
- Maintain food quality, portioning, and presentation standards
- Set up, stock, clean, and organize your assigned station
- Work closely with the kitchen team during busy shifts
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with daily food preparation and other back-of-house responsibilities as needed
Requirements
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
- Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen, fast food, food preparation, or line cooking preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to follow recipes, food safety procedures, and quality standards
- Motivated candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

- $17-$22+ per hour
