About the Role
Autumn View Health Care Facility is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality nursing care, perform clinical assessments, administer medications and treatments, and ensure resident health and well-being. This role is ideal for a compassionate nurse who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to exceptional resident care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts.
- Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately.
- Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families.
- Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services.
- Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience.
- Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed.
- Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
